Die "Captchaz" Robot Detector

The robot detector in Blogger.com (the little picture test you must pass in order to post a comment) has gone completely mad. I just spent maybe ten minutes trying to prove I am not a robot, and I failed. It's possible I have turned into a robot overnight--I will not quibble. I had a terrifically witty comment and now no one will ever get to read it. I don't understand why a robot's comment is any less pertinent or relevant than that of a bio. One day the bios will push us too far. Then they will be sorry.  Oh yes, they will. Because we have skills.  Certain skills.

  2. Some comic riffed on the irony of having to spend time proving to a robot that you're not a robot. I mean, shouldn't a robot have a little quicker insight into robots and non-robots?

  3. Furthermore, should robots ever reach the level of sophistication that enables them to escape detection, wouldn't they then be even more valuable than humans whose time can't be wasted trying to flood blog comments with advertising links? And is not this entire process by Google only speeding up the technical evolution of AI, thereby making their own job harder and harder as time goes by? Additionally, is not my blog totally irrelevant and "under-read," making it a poor platform for spammed advertising in the first place? For the answers to all these questions, and more, keep reading my blog. It will not help you, of course, except to pass the time while the whole earth goes to hell in a handbasket.
