Work on the house progresses. On the one hand, once it is all finished--new roof, new 200 amp electrical service, newly shored up foundation--I may want to keep living here. On the other, I couldn't afford to. Luckily there is a third hand, where I sell and move, and that is the hand that claps for me right now.
So by the first of the year, I will no longer be in Kansas. Nor Toto, or cats, as the case may be.

Finally a post! I was worried! No word for way too long. But one thing . . . no cats? Really? No cats? But but . . .
ReplyDeleteAnd no Kansas? Does this mean you're headed back out west? :) But no cats? :O
OH no! Just sloppy writing! The cats, the unidentical twins, Uma and Elbow, otherwise known as "The Weird Sisters," will be moving with me, although I will be on the second floor and there is nothing interesting out the windows for a cat to see. No more Chipmunk Theater out the back sliding door, no more Squirrel Watch out the window by my computer.
DeleteActually I'll be moving east just a tiny bit, to the Missouri side of the state line, very close to the Plaza area where we met for dinner.
This will give me a year to regroup and think about . . . whatever.
Whew!!! Thank the gods. Yes. The Weird Sisters must be permanent residents of the Busy Bee Cafe. They are, after all, The Guardians of the Alternate Reality Generator. Any other scenario is unthinkable.
ReplyDeleteI like that area. It's got the river and plaza. Very nice part of town. Sorry about Squirrel Watch and Chipmunk Theater though. I hope they don't take it out on you. ;)
