For my own personal sanity and/or to afford myself some sort of rejuvenation I am going to close up shop, probably just briefly but who, as they say, knows?
I leave you with a picture I stole from somewhere on the Internet, lest we forget what we were thinking back there in the first grade when we were told "the sun is just a star."

Merry Christmas, Roy! Don't be a stranger.
ReplyDeleteOf course I have no idea how closing a blog could help anything much less service a rejuvenation, but I'm self-centered like that. Many happy days to you, and I hope you continue to float around our clouds and share your kind wisdom.
ReplyDeleteWell, there it was, and I kept thinking I had to post something, but wouldn't, so it was one more thing hanging over my head, which is already in grave danger from all the other not-done stuff hanging there so I thought if I made a formal announcement of my intentions vis-à-vis procrastination and sloth to not post then it would be transformed into something that I DID do. It's all very complex. But trust me.
ReplyDeleteDamn. Can't you just molt here? I'm really going to miss your special brand of wisdom, humor and kindness, plus I consider you a friend. Well, the Winter Solstice is in a few days, the perfect time to go to the dark place and return with the light so, as we say around the Bird Park...
ReplyDeleteyou break my heart, Roy!
ReplyDeletePaula: Thank you. You are a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteAsha: Thank you, my friend, for the generously expressed sentiments. Nothing we can do or say will stop the mechanism!
Kristiana: Oh hell you are all my Internet crushes.
Don: How 'bout them Chiefs? Beat the pants off the Packers. Fuck'n A.
